Chase Bank Real Estate Rip Off

My fiance and I were interested in purchasing a foreclosure home owned by Chase Home Finance LLC. They asked for 3% earnest money down (the house cost $142000.00) so we put down $4275.00 on June 8 we were preapproved for the loan. Our real estate agent contacted my fiance to sing the contract, I told him it was ok to sing my name since i could not be present at the time. There was a page titled counter offer in VERY SMALL PRINT, that said the earnest money would not be refunded after 06-28-07. I was not aware of this since i was not present nor was he. When we went to get the mortgage loan my fiance could not be on the due to credit issues, so they said we had to draw up a new contract.By which this time it was already after 06-28-07.

In the meantime my attorney could not get a signature on the original contract from chase, so therefore the contract was not even legal yet. The second contract the real estate agent thought he could scratch off my fiance's name and resubmitt it, but they did not except this. So when i finally singed the third contract this page entitle counter offer was not submitted to me for signature and was already passed the day, it was 07-09-07. They just had me sign the first couple pages of the contract and added in the one's singed with the first contract with both our signatures on it. The Closing date was postponed due to finance issues, and chase wanted to charge me $75.00 a day for every day the closing was pushed back, i did not agree to this, the financeing did not go thru at the end and they kept my earnest money stating that the contract was legal even though they added pages from the original contract which had both our names on one page and not the others. They sold the house 08-21-07 for $139000.00.
