Dave Massey Massey Bros. Left New orleans without paying subcontractors on FEMA projects

In Nov. Of 2005 I was also one of the sub-contractors hired by Massey Bros. Excavation. I was hired by Mr. Dave Massey. I was hired with my excavator, (PC 200 LC Koumtsu) #16157. Dave and I was contracted to Phillips and Jordan. I also had a 4-man chainsaw crew that was also hired by Mr. Massey. My companies name was D&M Utility and Excavation Inc. Of Rio Vista, Tx.
I worked for 4 weeks without recieving any money from Mr. Massey. He always had some excuse. Most of the time his excuse was that FEMA hadn't paid Phillips and Jordan or that they had screwed up on the Invoice payment.

Dec. 5th we were paid $5,000.00 out of the 10,000 he owed us. He convienced to keep working by promising the rest of our money and the money he would owe us if we kept working. Me and my crew worked from Dec. 5th. Through Jan. 2006. This left him owing still the $5,000.00 plus another $6913.00.

I stayed in New Orleans from Jan. Til the end of Feb. Trying to find Mr. Dave Massey. None of my phone calls were returned. I went home and kept tring to contact him through March. He finally contacted me at the end of March and told me we were all frauded by FEMA. He stated I would have to call the fraud board of FEMA. He claimed he was never paid by FEMA.

It really upsets me that I find out that FEMA paid him some $750,000. He was at home with his family for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I was working for him during these holidays and I never recieved no payment. I have never been gone from my family in 21 years. I spent over 6 months there getting jerked around by Massey Brothers. We would never do business like that in Texas.
