Vendstar - Sales Rep
"Dean" Dean is scam artist! He tried to get me to pay over $200 per machine when you can buy them brand new online for $85 each! He's a complete liar, don't trust him!

Education & Science

I'd like to tell the world about my experience with Multivend's Vendstar Company. They tried to rip me off but couldn't!

It all started when I requested information on the internet about the franchise 'Vendstar'. That same day I received a call from a man calling himself "Dean" from Vendstar. He did a BS interview on me at first and then immediately starting asking me how much money I had (ALERT!). He then claimed that he could get me a "special deal" because some BS nonsense about getting taxed on their inventory and he has to sell them this week in order to get me the deal. Ha! That's a laugh! That of course was all a bunch of BS. What he was really doing was trying to pressure me into making the purchase immediately before I found out that you can buy the exact same machines online for less than half the price he was offering them to me!

Dean's "special offer" to me was 30 machines for a total of $6500 plus another $1500 to the locating agency to place my 30 machines for a total of $8000. If you do the math, it comes out to about $216.66 per machine (not including the locating agency's fees). Hmmm... What would you do? Buy them for $216.66 each with a ten year warranty or $85 each with no warranty? Its a no brainer. Is it worth paying an extra $3900 total for a ten year warranty that I'm sure I'll never even use? I don't think so.

The funniest part of this whole incident is when, out of courtesy, I called Dean to inform him that I would not be buying the machines from him. He did exactly what I expected. He laughed, insulted me and then hung up! Real nice guy huh? Its obvious he was mad because he didn't get to scam me out of thousands and thousands of dollars that would have ended up directly in his pocket as his "commission".

People, people, people. Don't get scammed by Vendstar! Buy the exact same machines (for a fraction of the cost) online and then locate and place the machines yourself. That's the way to be successful in the vending machine industry. Keep very low overhead. Neither Vendstar nor their locating agency (Specialty Marketing) gives a damn how your business performs! Vendstar simply just sells you the machines (at ridiculous prices) and then forgets about you.

Plus, if you have problems locating the machines yourself, there are dozens of other locating agencies out there that would be happy to locate your machines for you at a lower fee. Do your due diligence! If I hadn't... There's a good chance I would have been scammed by Vendstar and "Dean" just like so many other honest people out there.

Thanks "Dean" for being so transparent! I knew you were a scam artist the minute I talked to you. However thanks to you, I now have a vending machines business plan that I believe will work. Now who's the sucker?!
