(1) Chg'd me for AKC papers, but never received! Sold me a dog with hypothyroidism and now he has to take medication for the rest of his life! Ripoff

In July Sheila Rush quoted me $600 for a male Weimaraner with no papers, and $700 for papers that would register him with AKC. We also had to pay the additional fees of $200 to have him flown to our area. We sent her the total payment amount of $900, which was $700 for a dog with papers the $200 fee for airline transportation. To date, August we have never received papers for our Weimaraner and have never been able to register him with AKC. The first time we contacted her, we were told that the papers were being mailed soon. The second time we contacted her we were told that the papers would be arriving soon. The next time we contacted her we were told that she would have to put a tracking on the papers. We STILL do not have any papers.

Shortly after our dog turned 1 year old, he began to lose his hair and develop red patchy spots all over his abdomen and along the sides of his body. We paid numerous visits to our veterinarian to try and find out what was wrong. After numerous tests were conducted to test for skin conditions or allergies, finally our veterinarian said that she wanted to do a blood draw to have it tested for thyroid problems. It came back positive! I initially did not know too much about hypothyroidism, and when I asked our vet if this was life threatening, she said "Yes, if he does not take medication for it". Now our dog has to take 2 Soloxine tablets every day and he has to take them for the rest of his life!

Clearly she is paying enough attention to the breeding that is going on to have puppies go out that develop hypothyroidism, when she claims that their breeding program includes being very selective in choosing their breeders so that all of their puppies are free of genetic defects and for producing healthy, beautiful puppies.

It is also 100% disgraceful to have charged me for papers that I have never received, nor did she ever offer to reimburse me for the money that she took for papers!
