United Collection Bureau (UCB)
Collectors Very rude to debtors, Falsefying information, Breaking all fdcpa rules, Uncompassionate Ripoff

Education & Science

I have been working for the company for some time & ever since the 1st day on the floor (side jacking) I have seen & heard collector's doing the total opposite of what I was taught in training class the trainers teach you about the fdcpa laws & paint this picture as if UCB is all that when it's not!!!

1st thing there is nothing Professional about UCB anybody & everybody can get hired there you can be a bum staight off the street & get a job. I have come to realize that UCB do not care about their employees or the debtors their only concern is the $. And some of the Collectors only care about getting their big commission check every month. Everything that i'm writing is not Gossipp but is what I witnessed. Some of the so call Managers & Supervisors get a kick out of the collectors talking down & disrepecting the debtors they be laughing in the background. The collectors sometime will put the debtor on speaker & mute the phone so everyone could hear what the debtor be saying especially when they make the debtor cry. And you call this professional. I've heard a collector tell a debtor if she had to sell her body to get the money to pay her debt then she have to do what she have to. They call the debtors dead beats, they curse them, they hang up on them, they harrass them by breaking fdcpa laws if a debtor hangs up on them they will keep calling them back & then tell them that they are gonna contact their relatives, their neighbors, & friends to tell them what a dead beat they are & that they don't pay their bills. I've seen & heard so much that I could write a
book. If you are making the company$ (month 1 collectors) you can do whatever & say whatever & keep your job. I witnessed a MANAGER on the floor say to a collector after she had just cursed a debtor out & was afraid that she may have been monitored that because she is making the company money they will not fire her!!! You can fight on the collection floor & still keep your job because... They are month 1 collectors, you can break fdcpa laws & belittle the debtors & still keep your job... Again for month 1 collectors, you can falsely represent yourself to get a debtor to call back for
example: leave a message saying you are calling re: a loan application that they submitted & you need to verify info or for a package that they ordered &
still keep your job darn I forgot they are month 1 collectors and/or managers. But for someone like me who just barely meet my seat goal (pay for your seat) i would have been long gone. I believe in treating people with respect but the rude obnoxious collectors/managers make it bad for me because sometimes when I get a debtor on the phone I get cursed at & hungup on & when I do get the opportunity to talk w/a debtor they be so happy that I'm not like the rest of the collectors they've talked to in the past. I care more about the debtors than a commission check!!! And fyi for the debtors UCB have no legal department, no firm, no recommendation dept & and sometimes you are not talking to a real supvr or mngr just another collector pretending to be one! You might be wandering why I'm still there well when it's time for me to exit I will. There is a season & a purpose for everything. God don't like ugly!!
