Countrywide Home Loans
Lied, every phone call was a different story, foreclosure problems yet raising the payments

Education & Science

In April I started to process to buy my first home after many dealings with a shady landlord who stold the house from my mother but thats another story. The first company we went threw told us 2 weeks in a hotel and we would be in a house well that fell through and my 3 children, fiance and myself stayed in that hotel for 3 very long months. We called about a house from a realtor and she said I know someone at Countrywide who can get you into a house! Of course we were desperate to get out of that hotel so we thought what the hell. Well the guy at Countrywide told us how to get everything told me to have a family member add me to a credit card to get a letter of credit from a store or friend, they found every loophole to get us into this house, it didnt help that the realitor knew the people who owned this house previous and was being a duel agent. We epxressed to both the realitor and Countrywide rep that the price of the house was more then we could afford, we told them we couldnt afford more the 1100 a month they called back to tell us we could afford it that it would only be 100 to a 150 more a month.By the way they also neglected to tell us about how the whole tax thing would change after a year needless to say our house payment was 1288.00 ONCE after that it went up to 1363.00, then 1413.00, now 1536.00. After about 3 months I lost my job contacted countrywide and was offered a special forebearance but my payments would be over 1600.00 a month and I would have to may my first payment starting in March. Then on Feb. 15 I was able to pay my mortgage up current paying over 10,460.00 and made the payments up to December when I once again found myself unemployed, I am a carpenter and well in Michigan this is nto the best state to build houses at this time. 2 or 3 months ago I contacted Countrywide to again see if I could get the special forebearance and was told they no longer offer that. 6 weeks ago I called them telling them I didnt want to love my house and they said that was way down the road and not to worry. 3 weeks ago I finally landed a decent paying job and called Counrtywide yet again and was informed my home was in foreclosure!!! Then the calls started for days every time I got one person to tell me they could help they would transfer me to another person to basically told me to bite it!!! June 28th our case was assigned to someone who was going to help us that we were pre approved for the special forebearance and we would hear something in 3 to 7 business days. We called 3 more times after that with not one call back. Now here we are 4 days from the Sheriff's sale and we got a hold of the "man" at countrywide today who told us he was sending out paper to be filled out and we had to have them back by July25th can you say crunch time? And that isnt the end of it about 2 hours later we get a call from someone calling for "the man" asking if we got the paper work? DO these people talk to one another? Maked one wonder doesnt it. SO he proceeds to tell us when sending in the papers to send a cashiers check for 3001.78 shocked we asked why this wasnt mentioned before? Upset my fiance calls Countrywide back and asked just that do you people read notes? Do you take notes? This woman tells her that back in january we had a special forebearance and never sent the papers back in??? WE PAID IT CURRENT!!! THENNNNN we are told it was changed from a forebearance to a loan modification on July 10th... Now I dont know about you but are we supposed to guess all of this I took my reading the minds of useless A*holes hat off a week ago I figured these are supposed to be professionals... I would have to say I figured WRONG. Something needs to be done to stop this company after reading this site I had to add my story. SOrry for the length of it but well you know!!
