Unathorized use of bank info. To charge me ripoff

Education & Science

I checked my bank statement on line this morning and found that I had been charged for something I didn't ask for. I recieved e-mails from them, but never opened them. I have no interest in "Free" rewards. (Notice the quotes?) I called my bank and they are going to take care of it for me.

Somehow they got my bank card numbers, I don't know how. I certainly did not give it to them. Nor did I authorize them to take money out of my account. How do they get away with this? Why didn't my AOL security catch it? Or McAfee? Be wary when on line, if a site is not secure, don't use it! That's the only thing I can think of, that allowed them to get personal info on my account.

Now I have to get a new card, different numbers all that hassle, but it's worth it. I've read that this same thing has happened to many others, why isn't the law stepping in to stop them? Just my two cents, but SOMETHING should be done with this company.
