RIPOFF Fraudulent billing, Charging Bank account without authorization

I was called by Florida Way Direct and offered What was suppose to be Air plane ticket vouchers for FOUR airline tickets to ANYWHERE and a 4 day 3 night vacation FREE if I LOOKED at Three programs. I was told I would have at least 7 DAYS from the time I received the programs in the mail before I would be charged for them to look them over.

I received the programs all on the same day looked them over and immedietly spent 2 hours on the phone canceling them all. ONE gave me a cancelation number and TWO were via an automated system that DID NOT give a cancelation number. A week and a half later my husband was looking at our bank account and asked me what I had written a check for $149.00? I Thought and figured it had to be one of those programs. I had thrown most all the program material away because I thought I was finished with it but I had one paper that had a number on it still. I called it and asked which program cost $149.00? I was told Florida Way Direct and given the number for them.

I called them 5/21/07 and told them they took money out of my account witout my authorization. They said I NEVER canceled. I told them yes I did on 5/15/07 that I canceled ALL the programs on that day. They said they could see I canceled the otheres but I did NOT cancel theirs. I told them again yes I did via the automated system. At that time they "officially" canceled the account. I told them I wanted the $149 back in my account IMMEDIATELY they said they couldn't, they didn't work that way.

I had to write a letter stating WHY I wanted my money back, with my name and address and send it to them and THEN they will send me a CHECK in the MAIL. I sent them the letter after talking with my bank which said because the $149 made my account negative they would NOT let me dispute the charge till it was in the positive even though it was in the positive before they took out the money. Go figure.

After sending the letter which I sent priority mail because I had been told that as soon as they got the letter my check would be sent out within 24 hours. I called on Tuesday after they received the letter on Saturday and they said I had to wait 10-14 day for the money to pass through the banking system before they could issue me a check.

It is NOW 6/4/07 we just called the company supposidly my check is on it's way it was sent 6/01/07 from Florida now all we have to do is wait to se if/when it comes.

Don't deal with this company it is a SCAM!
