IPA International, Profit Associates Misrepresesentation and misleading, scam, will put you out of business

We fell into the same scam as all of you did. It started one day when a company rep walked in and talked us into a $350 consulting fee. We are a company who does need help so we agreed to do so.

The next day a consultant came in and told us that we BARELY fit the criteria for help but said if we were committed she would get us put through. Upon telling us how expensive they were, we told her that we could not afford to use them. She however said to us that if we showed commitment IPA would work with us. So knowing that we need the help and knowing they would work with us, we signed on.

The next day the project manager and an associate came in and began looking at our financials. The associate was really useless and we began to wonder if we had made a mistake. We scraped every penny of our personal savings to pay the roughly $8000.00 owed to them. We felt we needed to at least go a little further to see if the next help would be better.

The following week the next associate came in. He, I must honestly say, was a blessing. He re-did everything the two associates did the week proir and more. He is someone I would reccomend to other companies if he was solo. Anyway, by the end of the week we tallied up another $12,000.00 bill that he knew we could not pay. All the associates could see that we are not very liquid. I was told to stay in contact with his boss every Wednesday.

We signed and post-dated three checks which made us feel uncomfortable as we could not cover just one of them. Our intention was to pay a little each week until we could finish the project. We called the first Wednesday and told them to put off the checks as we could not cover them. They did and we called the following Wednesday to do the same thing. The associate said no problem.

Well guess what? They put it through against our request which the check cleared, but now our checks that went out to pay other bills will bounce unless we find a way to come up with enough money to cover them. Our 6yr. Olddaughter needs dental work and physical therapy and will not be able to have them until we catch up. We will be putting a stop payment on the other two checks and will pay them not another penny until we are satisfied.

I feel really scammed by this company and hope that something can be done about them.
