Ripoff

I wrote the entry below from Bartlesville, OK. I tried all methods of resolution I could think of. I tried the AGs office in NV, In and Ok. I even called the credit union that financed the note, and then subsequently filed a complaint with NCUA.

Finally after they turned a debt collection agency loose we called them and made what we thought was a ridiculous offer. They accepted and sent a letter detailing the settlement. The good news is we settled for $500 on the $5500 dollar debt.

So make the collection agency a ridiculously low offer and try walk away and use the experience as a lesson learned. That is about the best you can hope for in my experience.
