Ripoff never received products from this company solicitation on a military installation targeted young people

In 2000 I encountered this company when I joined the military. They were coming from door to door at our dormitory. They were offering an educational package to help with getting my college degree. I signed a contract that said they would send me the educational materials. Which included books and a new computer. All together they wanted $3210.95

Some time went by and I never received anything from them. I notified the company and let them know but nothing was ever sent. Then the company that financed Alternative Learning Systems, Industrial Acceptance, started calling me and threatening to turn me in to my commanding officer if I didn't pay them. I tried to explain to them that I never received any products from that company. So I continued to make payments here and there to shut them up. I just didn't want to get in trouble if these people decided to call my commanding officer. Come to find out, after I did a little research, Alternative Learning Systems was on our Base's ban list as a rip off company trying to sell overpriced books and computers to young Airman.

I finally stopped paying them because I never got anything from them and I told them in my last conversation in 2003. Now mind you, even though I'm in the military, I've never moved from this town. So now it's 2007 and they have a lawyer calling me now demanding payment for a product I never received. I tried calling the company direct and finally got a hold of them two weeks ago and they have not gotten back to me. I requested they send me information that showed they sent anything to me. I again tried calling this company today and there was no answer.instead I received another call from their lawyer today.
