PDM Med Expo - A far cry from what was promised Ripoff

In October my company spent about $4500 including travel and material shipping charges) to exhibit at the PDM Healthcare MedExpo in Cleveland, OH.

This disappointing weekend was heavily touted by the PDM staff as an event featuring thousands of attendees throughout the medical community.in reality, this event did not even attract 100 medical professionals.

I collaborated with two other exhibiting companies and the consensus was that there may have been a total of about 200 attendees for the entire weekend. According to our GENEROUS estimation of those attendees, less than (25) were actually medical decision making professionals. EVERY person I over the course of both days was either a PDM Healthcare employee, a vendor or a freind or relative of the management staff. The only exception that we found to this assessment was (1) pharmacist employed by a large chain store pharmacy.

What makes this particulary disturbing is that I was high pressured into exhibiting at this event by (2) different PDM employees, both of which called me on a daily basis for over 2 weeks until I got company approval. This event and those that present the list of empty promises to unsuspecting companies should be avoided.
