Collections ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing

I went to my mail box today & was floored to receive a bill from AFNI Collections with first a name on it I have not used in over 20 years, from a City address I had not lived in for more than 15 years. What was even stranger it was from a state I had not lived in for 15 years. Then top it off from a company I have never had service with a day in my life. A $755.75 bill. I contacted my attorney of course right away, because this appeared to be an identity theft situation, but it is incrediable easy to show someone has some seriously bad information, then I find out that it is this company simply trying to obtain funds that I do not owe to them. I see I am not alone in this matter & due to all the points, wrong name, address, state all wrong, this is incredible that a company would do this. I sincerly pray that a class action suit can be filed against these folks, because this is far beyond crossing the line & I do not know about other people here, but I can show far beyond any doubt by my circumstances they are simply trying to steel money from people that is not due to them. I was informed to not contact them, see if it is on my credit report & obviously due to my circumstances, the credit bureau will have no problem seeing the debt was not incurred by me. These folks do not answer their phone & send you to a website to obtain personal information such as your SS#. I hope people are not filling that in & giving this company any information at all, because like I said on mine, they are way off by 20 years. They need to update.
