Illegal attempt to collect a debt Ripoff

Just got off the phone with Asset Acceptance; these clowns are as easy as Arrow, the collections cockroaches from whom they bought this alleged debt. After inquiring as to the name of the original creditor and the date of the alleged debt they gave me the name of a company of which I've never heard along with a date of 1990, as did Arrow a few years ago. When I informed them of the statute of limitations and reminded them that they were breaking the law by sending me the letter they hurriedly asked me if I was saying that I wasn't going to pay up and after I stated that was correct they talked for about two more seconds before hanging up on me. I never got to grill them as to why, on their letter, they have no fax number and only a PO Box instead of an address or to remind them that I can sue them for sending me the letter or to demand proof of the debt, account history, itemization of charges, etc. That is how you handle these "people"; let them know that you know the law and they slink away very quickly.
