AKA FREE PHONES Consumer fraud ripoff Advertises FREE PHONES in ads but then charges 2 hidden $50 processing fees after phone is activated

I went to buy a phone at Beepers & Phones from an ad I heard on the radio that said, "free cell phone, no credit, bad credit, no deposit, $39 for 600 anytime minutes and unlimited weekends".

After I arrived there a 18 or 19 year old kid with 5 rings in his face and a punk attitude approched me asking if I could help him. I noticed that another couple was in the store arguing with the other employee whom was also around 18 and looked as if he just got to work from a club. I should have known to leave right then.

I told him about the ad I heard, so he ran my credit and said there was a $500 Voicestream deposit! I asked why they advertised no credit, bad credit, no deposit and a free phone. He said sprint would approve me without a deposit and the phone would be free.

So I went with Sprint. He activated the phone for me and handed me an invoice which said the phone was free but then there was 2 processing fees for $50 each! I told him I did not want it anymore to cancel it and I left. I recieved a bill for $93.42 - a $35 activation fee and the first month of service. I called Sprint to tell them what had happened and they said sorry you cannot cancel, you are undr contract now!

I did some research on the owners and they use to own WillPage before being shut down by the government for fraud, R.I.C.O., Tax evasion and drug dealing. They went to prison and when they were released, they opened Beepers & Phones. My advise to you. Do not go to these punk kids that run Beepers & Phones. They lie and they fraud to get you in the door.
