The following was an email after eBay member Richard Yapco of Mandaluyong, Philippines contacted me about shipping fees to Manila.
This was his reply outside the ebay forum so please watch out for this scam artist richard yapco and all those like him!
Let me explain what I need exactly. My cousin is having a wedding and I'd like to buy a present for him. I'd like your item in gift wrapped with a card inside for a bride/groom. Also, I want you to send $900 via Western Union (www.westernunion.com) to them as an additional part of my present. The only problem is I want to make them surprised and don't want them to know that the present is from me. I'll pay for your item, packaging, Western Union and PayPal fees via PayPal. Please let me know if you could help me with that! I want you to ship everything to them directly and to send the money present via Western Union. I could even pay you for a trouble let's say $200 - please understand it's very important to me! I hope to hear from you soon!
Do NOT accept overpayments from scam artists like Richard Yapco for items where the buyer is asking to be reimbursed for overpayment. If you receive such offers, please report it immediately.
