Bait and fraud

I responded to a spam letter offering a free week of information about foreclosures. I used my debit card and I gave them my security number on the back of the card as they requested. I tried to use their services I thought I had paid for, but I could not. About a week later a person named Jordan started calling wanting me to buy some kind of course on making money on foreclosures. He called numerous times and each time I said I was not interested. He got very huffy with me, so I told him not to call back About 2 weeks later, I received a box from Fedex that required my signature. I signed for it and inside were 6 or 7 paperback books about foreclosures. There was no cover letter, bill, or any other explaination included. I did not order these books, nor did I want them. I ended up putting them in recycle. On June 19 there was a pending payment for $297 on my bank account. When I contacted Jordan Publishing to demand it be removed the operator hung up on me. I clled back and they gave me the extension number for Jason, but the message on the phone kept saying leave a message for Sylvia. I complained and he said I had agreed to it. He finally sent me an invoice via email for the $297 dated June 20. I had received the books on or about June 1. When I told him I had not ordered them he said when I authorized the $8.95 I had authorized the $297. I called my bank and went through having the charges reversed. I had to cancel my bankcard and get a new one with completely different numbers. Jason hsa called here 3 times since then even though he has been told not to, and I am on the do not call list. I was lucky though, my atm card is also a visa card and they will help you get your money back. After this started I went on the BBB list and they have a ton of complaints against them and in Californis the Department of Real Estate has a desist from doing business against 3 of their subsidiaries, including ForeclosureSchool. Oh and by the way, they also publish religious books, go figure
