Bad Scam

A person claiming to be Mr Joe Brown id# ep45050 called me this evening (Saturday night) saying that he was from the Govenerntment Grant information and Entitlement center and that they had a $5,000 grant for me and 9,000 other people. They had tried to verify my banks routing number which was correct, then they started asking for my account #. The guy i was talking to keep saying " dont worry, this is a legitimet phone call from the govenment" This is when i though about it, if the govenment need to contact you regarding grants or whatnot they would send something by mail or even e-mail thesedays, but not over the phone. So i was courious and started a web search of them while i had them on hold.

After i had found the above report i knew it was a Scam, i told them that i knew that was a scam and then told them i was going to report them and hung up

Please if you know anyone that is going to school or has applied for grants in the past please make sure they know about these people
