I too have been mislead by poetry.com. My daughter has submitted many poems to poetry.com and has received many certificates of "Editors Choice Awards" along with myself and my husband and her friend. Each of us were told that we would be published in their book. The same book "Eternal Portraits." When I ordered the books (2 for $115.90 back in Feb. 2006) one of my daughters poems was on the first page and none of the rest were in the book. I am still waiting for the second book.

My husband called the company and they told him that they only publish the poem that the order form is for and that they send the books out in two week increments. I am still waiting for the second book. My husband, who decided that he wanted to experiment with poetry.com sent in a poem that really was a piece of "crap" was also awarded a certificate and we were also sent offers to purchase CD's and plaques and then sent offers to pick up special awards at Disney World at our own expense also using celebrities names to incorage people to go.

My husband is out of work at this time and we cannot afford to file a lawsuit against these people. I have writen to my local newspaper warning the people of our area about the company but the paper has not printed the article or contacted me.
