Charged my bank account 10.00 for a membership fee that I did not request ripoff

As i was going over my bank statement, i found a 10.00 payment to a company i never heard of before. After calling my bank they gave me a phone number to call. When i called that number, they informed me that we had signed up for a membership to this company. And that the 10.00 was my fee. I have no clue as to how they got my account number. I was very angry, got on my computer and emailed them to cancel immediately. They did. This is outrageous for customer service.
