Today I received an email notification from Lotobono S.A. Loteria Nacional Promocion/Premios informing me that on June 2 a computer balloting sweepstakes was held using a Millennium Scientific computer game in which email addresses and names were used. It was explained that this is a promotional program aimed at encouraging internet users, so no ticket purchase was needed to enter. My email address had attached to ticket star number (9-a/2-0) and miraculously drew the Euromillion/Loteria Nacional numbers 5-0-0-4-9 which won the drawing in the Second Place category. The prize being 767,248.26 euros ($966,292.26) To begin my claim, I must contact claims agent, Mr. Raul Sanchez, Foreign Operations Manager, Cofidis Security & Finance SA (Spain). I have been given until June 30 to respond or the cash will be returned to the Ministry De Economia Y Hacienda as unclaimed. The email was from a Mr. Juan Felipe Acebedo, Lottery Coordinator. Too good to be true? Oh, yes. I checked for the winning lottery numbers on line. I discovered that these scammers had taken the June 2 date from the "Euromillones" lottery drawing and had combined it with the winning numbers from the "Loteria de Jueves" which was held on March 9. These people are bold, but not very bright!
