The Beacon Institute for Learning was a computer certification training school. They offered training at universities accross the country. I signed up for MCSE certification training at Western Michigan University. Soon after taking my $9,000, the school just faded away. I assume they went out of business, I never received any notice or refund.

This all happened in the end of 2001. I have filed a report with the BBB - worthless. I have been in contact with Mr. Jeb Bush's office - no help. I have gone through three attorneys who could not help.
I paid for this via a student loan and am currently fighting the bank on repayment. I would appreciate any feedback from others who have been ripped of. I will include a list of the Board of Directors that were responsible for ripping me off:
Robert Miller - President
Greg Finkelstein - VP
Neal Lebar - Treasurer
Joe Torriello - Recruited me
