Inc. Ripoff — took my money and never got magazine subscriptions

On September 29, a man came to my door selling magazine subscriptions. I gave him a check for $50 and I never got the subscription. Attempts to contact the company have been unsuccessful: they only have an answering machine, no actual people. I'd like my magazine or, preferably, a refund.
