I submitted a picture and then found out it is a scam Ripoff

I submitted a black and white picture of my daughter who I placed in an open adoption. I was told I was chosen to be published in a book. Also was invited to "International Society of Photographers Annual Convention and Symposium to be held at the famed Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I did some searches on this company and found out it is a scam. They stole my picture. Said they could put it in a book. That never happened. I have one friend who did get it put into a book but it was a different one than what they told her.

I called to ask that I be taken off of their mailing list. Spoke with Charlene. She said she would take me off the list. Next week I get another letter trying to get me to come to the convention. I called again and I was on hold for 10 minutes. I finally got through and the person just said "Hello?"... Did not mention company name. Just answered the phone like any other person getting a call at home.

So I ask for her name. She tells me it's Charlene. I asked for a last name. She wouldn't give it to me. I ask her if it is the office of the International Society of Photographers and she said it was. Again I told her to take me off the mailing list because I refuse to be a part of the scam she is running. On hold for 10 mintues both times and talk to the same person both times. If it is such a huge company where I would need to be on hold that long, you would think I would talk to someone else the second time.

I did searches on the internet just of the postal address. Saw that there are a few companies who use the same address - including suite number. All the same type of companies.international Library of Poetry (poetry.com) is one of them.

DO NOT submit anything to this place! They will take the pictures and run. I am just waiting to see my picture in a book with the credit given to someone else.
