Winter tractor service rip-off

HFS Tractor picked up my lawn tractor in Novemebr 2004 for the winter tune up, sharpen or replace blades and belts and oil change. I expected them to contact me with any repairs that might be needed.in January I contacted HFS tractor to check the status of my lawn tractor and I paid for the service which was over $200. They said it was finished and that the first nice day they would drop it off. A week later they dropped off my tracter.

I pushed it into the garage because it wouldn't start. That spring when it was time to mow I pulled the tractor out of the garage and charged the battery. As I lowered the mower deck to mow the grass I noticed that the lever had ben bent and it appeared to have been bent back into place. It was very hard to lower the deck. I was able to lower the deck enough to mow so I started to mow. I hadn't mowed for ten minuted when the belt on the mower deck broke. I called a friend who works in lawn care to look at the belt and he said that the belt was worn and that it was not a new belt. I then called HFS and explained to them my tractor troubles. They said that they were busy but could come out with in the week to pick up the tractor.

They did pick up the tractor a week later and kept it for a month. I had to push mow my lawn for the entire time they had my tractor. They charged me for labor to fix something that they broke (the mower deck lever) and they charged me labor again to replace the belt that should have been replaced back in November. I did not have a problem paying for the parts but I sure did not want to pay for labor again. I don't expect any restitution I just want people to know that HFS Tractor in Niles and in Stevensville Michigan do not take pride in their work and they take advantage of women that do not know what to look for when servicing there lawn tractor.
