I never received the so called coaching from SMC and called to cancel the membership before thirty days, SMC took an extra payment out of my account without my authorization and is absolutely refusing to give my money back

Education & Science

On November 11th I called SMC to get a trial membership for thirty days. I was excited about having their supposed business coach call me so I could start my own "my business."

After calling and setting appoinments for coaching several times, no coach ever calling me. I was upset with SMC and their coaches for having me sit by the phone wasting my time and I wanted to cancel the whole thing.

The person I talked to about cancelling sounded sypathetic and said would have the Supervisor of coaches call, all this time the thirty day deadline to cancel was quickly approaching.

About the next day or so (Not sure of exact day or date but around November 22th or 23rd) someone called and left a message in answering machine for me, said he was the coach supervisor but would be out on vacation until next week but would call me when he came back.

I though I finally would have results for my coaching and would be able to find out the best way to go about starting my own business.

The coach never called and my thirty days were up. I called SMC Corp. Again and told its people I definitly wanted to cancel.

They said that I would have to "cancel in writing" in order to get my money back. I did cancel by sending SMC a certified letter.

When my December bill came SMC had all ready taken another $39.99 out of my account without my authorization. Angain, I called them and told them that I wanted at least the $39.99 for the month of December back.

SMC is absolutely refusing to give me even just the payment for December back and says that my account will remain open.

So as you can see, SMC has this coaching game going to distract people from cancelling according to SMC rules. When unsuspectign consumers find out how SMC works, SMC tells them it is to late to get their money back.

I would like to help put a stop to SMC stealling our money and to forcefully keep unwilling consumers' accounts open.
