Sage Telephone ripoff, dishonest "why don't you trust your own goverment" lies, false representation

On November 29 Ii was contacted by a foreigner who I could barely understand, stating that I was selected to receive a goverment grant. I hung up and he called back saying don't hang up we already have your account number and just need you to verify the numbers so that we can deposit the 12,500.00. I was very suspicous and told him that if the goverment wanted to give me money they could feel free to place the check in my account. Of course they needed to only do it by account information that he stated he already had.

I asked him to read my account numbers to me since he already had them and he told me that I could read them to him and he would tell me if it was correct. Really? So, I started reading them off and on my last account number i told him a wrong number but that was exactly what he had. Next they did a voice authorization with me naming off the wrong numbers and conviently ommitted the part of putting in 12,500. Before they would take 299.95. Two days later the man called back saying he was verifying that i received the money. I told him to talk to my husband. He said that it was the last day and i told him that i wasn't interested then. I hung up. Today i got up and called the bank to check my bills and found out that a check for 299.95 went through. I now have copy of that check with the wrong account numbers on it but they still got my money. I called the police and bank for fraud. Seem to be getting nowhere. I also filed two complaints. I will get my money back.
