Ripoff Sends Fake Magazine Subscription Notice

Magazine Billing Services, Inc. Here's what this guy, (Gary Hutchings) does. Somehow he buys from "listings brokers" information about what magazine subscriptions you have. He then sends a "renewal/new order" notice to your home.

This notice looks like a standard renewal notice for a subscription you already have, but if returned with payment it will start a new, redundant subscription, which according to this link (http://edumacation.com/MagazineBillingServices) will take a $20 processing fee to stop.

He gets a BBB rating of "F" by the way. Several complaints against him are listed on the BBB site.

I got his phone number off the BBB website and called him, and asked him about his practices. At first he said that he could see how someone MIGHT mistake his "new offer" for a renewal notice, but by the end of the call he was accusing me of having already called him and insulting him earlier in the day! That just proved that I was not the only person who's ever gotten mad at his pathetic scam, and the complaints with the BBB bear this out!
