Ripoff

This company called me several times to try to get me to sign up for some promotional deal. Finally after weeks of pestering I decided to give them a try. With the understanding that I would never be charged as long as I called within a two week period of recieving a package in the mail and cancelling.

When the package arrived I decided I no longer wanted to try this promotion so I called the number on the package and they told me that my subscription had been cancelled.

Two weeks later I find a charge on my bank account of $59.95. So I called them and they told me that I never cancelled. They then told me to write a letter to the address I stated above and I would get a check in the mail. So I wrote the letter but still haven't recieved a check.

I called them again today and they told me to get a hold of my bank and make a conference call to verify the funds were removed from my account and I would recieve a check within 48 hours. I tried to get a hold of my bank to make the call but my bank doesn't make conference calls so I called distinct advantage back and they told me that now there computers are down and they would have to call me back within an hour to be able to help me. So I am waiting here for the call and hopefully I will get my 59.95 back.

I actually lost the package and forgot about it after I had cancelled the subscription. I never would have been able to get ahold of these people to at least try to get my money back without this consumer complaints website. So thank you.
