Envision scam, ripoff, fraudulent, deceived me, kept my money & equipment, won't respond to calls or emails

We have been dealing with gentleman Matt that I perceived as being an honest man who told me that he didn't want to get "screwed". Funny enough that is actually what I got. He made it seem that he was uncomfortable with our method of payment (letter of credit) since the medical camera was to ship to Central America and so he requested money to first hold the camera and then additional to ship the camera.

Well I did just that trying to make HIM the comfortable one... And well a month later he has yet to respond to emails and phone calls. Unfortunately I had looked up the BBB beforehand and I see that this company is rated "unsatisfactory" for a pattern of alleging deceptive advertising practices. I just can't believe there are people like this in the world!
