Unauthorised use of an individual's checking account! Palm Springs

I was visiting my banks web site to review my checking history. Which I do daily. I noticed an unauthorized withdrawl against my account from NSBA.

I initally attempted to reach them with the number provided with the supposed authorization and reached an answering machine and left my number. I then contacted my bank which immediatly put a stop payment on their $149.95 withdrawl. I was charged a $20.00 fee in doing so.

I was never contacted by phone nor had I visited any web site associated with their company until I was attemting to find a customer service number with a human being. With further searching I found another number on The Better Business Bureau website in which to contact NSBA.

When I contacted NSBA I was made aware that this was an internet charge but that no account with my name could be found. I spoke with an individual named Mark and was told that this would have to be refered directly to their customer service as he was on "a closed system and I don't have access to any of the information you have requested." He was given my name and contact information. I'm awaiting their return call and would love for them to explain how they came upon my information. I'd who the individual was that authorized this withdrawl.

As I said previously I have not been contacted by them prior to this, nor have I ever given any of my checking account information to anyone but the bank itself. I don't even use the good old check by phone option with companies I trust, let alone one I've never heard of.

Anxiously awaiting their rebuttal!!!
