National Small Business Alliance, nsba. Romy Schlaflernational Small Business Alliance, nsba. Romy Schlaffer I got scammed and I don't even have my own business! Sos!

I wanted to get a credit card on the web and I was directed to the nsba website. I filled out a form online to obtain the card since they advertised a definite approval.

After looking more closely I noticed it was for small business owners to get credit cards for their employees. So I tried to cancel the membership online right after I signed up. I'm a LPN and I don't own a business!

I got the membership packet in the mail a few days later.

Then I called nsba since my checking account had a overdraft due to nsba electronically withdrawing $95.95. I left 3 messages on their answering machine. They don't answer their phone even during work hours!

I notified them that I was sending back the packet which I did return the next day. I also emailed them again to cancel on 6/20/05. I recieved a reply back on 6/21/05 from Rory Schlaffer who stated my account would be cancelled that day.

When I checked my account balance today, I was suprised to see that the $95.95 was electronically withdrawn from my account on 6/27/05! I tried to call them again but as usual I got the answering machine. So I emailed nsba 2 times today but no reply.

Aren't consumers supposed to be able to cancel a purchase or a membership within 48 hours after ordering it?

I've learned my lesson and see that I'm not the only one who has been ripped off by nsba! Sincerely, Katherine A. Pagaduan
