Attempted ripoff, promise of free grant money

These nuts contacted me at 9:30 at night. It was obvious they were from either India or Pakastan from their thick accents, despite one's attempt to disguise it with a poor attempt at a"southern" accent. Having little better to do I decided to play along.

Their pitch is that "millions" of people apply for government grants but only "hundreds of thousands" recieve them because of "improperly filled papers". (Their words.) They offered to send a computer disk (CD?) with information on fileing the proper forms and applications, and offered a "customer service center" to further assist in applying for the grants. (More information on the service center below.) They blatently offered "free money" going as far to ask "how much money would you want" and saying that the money could be used for "anything you want".

After listening to their pitch I attempted to get more information about the company. Despite my request for written information about the company the first person I spoke to kept attempting to steer the conversation back to my banking acct. Number.

When I spoke to his "bonded verifier" it was much of the same. After a quick repeat of the address and webaddress they once again tried to get my acct.info. I once again asked for some written information to be sent to me with information on licencing, registration, bond numbers, types of services offered and success rates..

When I still wouldn't give my acct.info I was bumped up to a "supervisor", the woman with the "southern" accent. (Each person refered to the next as He despite the second two I spoke with being female.) After going through the same requests and the same pitch from them I finally asked, "Do you have any written information on your company you can send me?" I recieved no reply, but I do believe they swore at me in Hindi before hanging up a few seconds later.

Then number given for "Customer Service" is active, however the recording lists the working hours as limited to 7:30-2:00pm M-Th and 7:30-12:00 on Fridays. Considering the late hour of the calls from their "represenatives" you'd think they'd be open later.
