I sent in everything required and was told I didn't send 1 piece of information that I know I did

I bought 2 - 22 inch monitors from Tigerdirect.com, each had a $40.00 rebate, after the purchase, and upon reading small print in the rebate information, I found out that there was a clause which only allowed 1 rebate per household. I followed the directions exactly and sent everything required and waited. I knew something was up when after 2 weeks I received this email from their company

Thank you for participating in our rebate promotion. Your rebate submission has been received. Unfortunately your rebate is denied for the following reasons: INVALID INCOMPLETE OR ALTERED RECEIPT NO DATE STORE RECEIPT NOT SUBMITTED SEND PACKING SLIP.
If your submission was denied for missing information please mail a copy of this message WITHIN 30 DAYS with required materials to: TCA Rebate Resolution Dept 145 Huguenot Street Suite 105 New Rochelle, NY 10801.in Canada, please mail to: TCA Rebate Resolution Dept Suite 620 4A - 3421 Portage Ave Winnipeg, MB R3K 2C9

The vagueness of the reason for denial led me to type in wheresmyrebate rip off in google and found 28 recent complaints at usacomplaints.com, most of which amounted to stalling on the part of wheresmyrebate.com until the rebate had expired resulting in no payment.

So I called the (914) 633-0977 number for any questions concerning my rebate. After a long wait at 9:30 AM EST (20 minutes) on hold, A person answered and I proceeded to explain that I was aware of the amount and the nature of the complaints about their deceptive practices to which they would not reply changing the subject to the reason for my call.

After giving all my information concerning my rebate, I was told that I failed to send the receipt (which was stapled together along with ALL the other required paperwork). I will send this information again along with this new email (mandatory) to a supplied by them different address, but this time I will send it certified mail'. I will update this thread as it unfolds.
