Ripoff

I found a charge of 169.95 on my credit card bill from a company I'd never heard of called HDI Connections. When I called them, they claimed they got my credit card number from The Company Store, a household goods store I've ordered sheets from. I called The Company Store and they stated I'd authorized them to give my information to HDI Connections in 2001.

This is completely untrue, and I'm unsure who to sue first, HDI COnnections or The Company Store. When I contacted my credit card company, they verified I've been getting charges for membership fees since 2001 annually. It shows what happens when you don't read your credit card statements carefully enough, as I just discovered this rip-off now. Over the years, I'm out more than 500$ for membership fees.

I was never contacted by HDI Conenctions for renewals or authorization, and never received any goods or services from them, so these fees are bogus.

I am reporting them to the Attorney General. It is obvious from the number of other reports on them that they have been conducting this scurrilous business for several years. Why hasn't anything been done about this yet?
