Dishonest theives giving false hope. Terrible people

I constantly have been recieving calls from a number that my caller ID says is "toll free". I usually ignore them but I decided to answer and was told bye I man referring to himself as Nathan that my family was one of an annuall group of 36,000 families that qualified for a minninum of 5,000 grant from the government.

Now to get this grant and ensure that it got to me, he wanted my account number and bank. He then procceded to tell me that there would be a $236.00 charged for the service of the grant.

I told asked why would there be a charge if i'm supposed to be reciving much more than that. I told him that I was uncomfortable with this. He wanted me to speak on a recorded, automated questionaire asking me my bank information and then say that it was ok for AGIC to bill me the $236.00 within 7 days.

I hung up. He called right back being very persistant and telling me that if I did not follow through that I would never be approved for any grant of any kind in the future. I hung up again.

Someone needs to do something about these THEIVES. They are doing nothing more than stealing from people that have been hoping for some kind of help.
