Ripoff! Bogus invoice faxed to our business, invoice to Kevin Batesman Collon, Utah

On 2-10-05 a nine-page fax - an invoice from Forsythe Data Equipment of San Diego - was received by our company. From looking at your website, almost 300 other companies received same fax.

Called phone company right away but they said I needed a police report # in order to go any further. Called the police. They came and took my report and gave me a #. Called back phone company. Now that I had a #, they told me I could discuss the matter with the "Unlawful Call Center."

The phone co. Rep did not ask for the police # and, furthermore, he told me that the only way to trace the call would be if I hit *57 right after receiving the fax. If the trace was successful, we would be charged $4.00. Only if the trace were successful, could we call back the phone co. And ask for them to "Open" up the investigation.

If anyone needs to call Verizon's Unlawful Call Center, it's (see link below). If the tel. Rep had told me that when I first called, I may have had a chance to see who was doing this. I have received this same fax four or five times; sometimes it's 14 pages long. It's wasting fax cartridge, my paper, and my time.
