Ripoff Fraudulent Billing on phone bills

In reviewing my phone bill I noticed a charge of $14.95. I contacted CenturyTel my phone company and they stated that I should contact ILD Teleservices Inc. As this was the company that placed the charge on my bill. Upon calling ILD Teleservices Inc. They informed me that they were placing the charge through a company called Memebers Edge. They also stated that Memebers Edge would be the one who would have to issue any credit or answer any questions about this charge.

I contacted Memebers Edge the first time and an associate cancelled the membership then I asked for a supervisor and was given a voice mail. I checked on this company further and returned the call requesting a refund which I was told would not happen and then hung up on.

I then again called a third time and informed them that no one had given them permission to set up this account and the email information belonged to a minor. The associate on the phone said that a credit for $29.95 would be credited but would take up to two billing cycles. My guess is that they have charged me a second time already.

I have contacted my phone company a filed a complaint and alerted them to this practice and they should be investigated for allowing a minor to sign up for something without being able to confirm information. This is pretty serious stuff and can be very dangerous to minors.
