Promised to renew newspaper but did not honor order and kept payment 41 W. 72nd St. #10g

On January 10 I ordered a renewal subscription for USA Today from Magsforless.com. I was charged on my credit card the amount of $21.80 for 65 issues of my subscription which was ending 2/10/05. I contacted their customer service several times by phone to no avail as there was only a recording on the other end. Then I e-mailed several times, and finally got a note that it would take 3-4 weeks for a daily newspaper subscription which I allowed for.

I waited 4 weeks, and USA Today had no knowledge of my renewal order or of one pending so I re-emailed MagsforLess.com's customer service and they simply reiterated by e-mail that my order was put through.

Since I was forced to order the newspaper again directly through USA Today at a higher cost, since I did not want my subscription to lapse, I have now paid twice for one renewal. I also have filed a request for my credit card company to put the charges in dispute, although the best I can now hope for is a reimbursement from card services.

This company is listed as a BBB approved company and I did not anticipate getting ripped off, but there are several other consumers who noted the same problem I experienced.

I merely want to get my money refunded and put the word out that this is an unscrupulous company which is in the business of supplying aggravation, not the products which they advertise.
