Ripoff Three days of aggravation

NCO Financial I received a letter stating that the above claim from re-Ebay had been placed with them for collection and if payment wasn't made in 5 days, it would result in immediate action. The amount was $51.77.

I immediately called and got a very nasty ms Short. I explained we did not have an ebay account and wanted info. She didn't have any, it was just turned in from ebay and suggested I pay it. I said I wasn't paying a bill that wasn't ours and she said to go to the police dept and file charges.

Called our credit card company, everything was okay. She gave me a bogas yahoo email. I called yahoo and after a couple hours trying to get through, they wouldn't give me any info without a court order even tho ms Short claimed that was our email.

Bless ebay! I have never ordered from them but Jason checked and cross-checked and confirmed that our name, the bogas email, or my email was not anywhere in the system and suggested that the collection letter was a fraud and not to pay it. I stumbled on this site and found more stories like mine. I filed fraud against NCO with the police dept and FTC.

Why is this company not shut down and someone doing jail time? Can they really mess up our credit? Three days of aggravation. Where do they get their decoys? Our credit is spotless! Let poor Martha Stewart out to make cupcakes. I can not believe what I have read and they are allowed to do this. Enough said.
