I received a phone call @ about 9pm at night on 24 January. The person did not introduce themselves right away. It was a young middle eastern woman who later called herself Charlotte Lucas. I know many young middle eastern women, none of whom are named Charlotte Lucas. That contradiction, and the fact that the call came after Close of Business and the fact that the government was going to "give" me $50000 through her company made me curious.

If you get this call, they will offer you $50000 for free - no interest, no fees accept a "refundable" $239 processing fee. If you ask how they got your name, they say the government/congress has sent them your information because you are 1) a US citizen, 2) a taxpayer for the past few years, and 3) you have a checking account and are therefore eligible. Later on in the conversation I noticed a contradiction. This is when I absolutely new something was up. They asked me for my bank information so they could confirm I was eligible after having told me I was eligible by way of the government.

If you get this call do not give them your bank information. Apparently, they can supply your bank with a copy of the phone conversation (which she called a "bank-to-bank transaction") which is permission to make one of those transactions.in fact, don't give them any information they don't already have. Somehow they knew my full name, address, obviously my phone number, that I was at least 18 (don't give them your birthday if they don't know it), a US citizen, and that I have paid taxes for the past few years.
