Freedom Grant
Ripoff

I got a call today (1/6/5) from "Steve Clark" (American name - not an American. HEAVY, hard-to-understand accent) He said he was with a company named "Freedom Grant" & he was representing the goverment - & I was chosen to receive up to $50,000 in tax-free grant money. The details of the conversation were the same as all the other reports on this website. (ie, includes $500 & a computer from HIS company, also)

I questioned him A LOT - which seemed to annoy him. He asked me why I was sounding so distrustful & I replied "usually when things seem to good to be true - they ARE." I listened to him for awhile longer, but with obvious skepticism in my replies.

He finally said "Why do you sound like you're not convinced this is for real?" I said "Because you hear about SCAMS like this all the time on the news & they tell you NEVER to give financial information over the phone to strangers, etc etc..." to which he responded by HANGING UP on me!!! Thank goodness I didn't get far enough to give him any financial data. Beware!
