Moonlight Marketing
Ripoff! Took $199 out of my bank account as if it were a check by phone debit

I looked over my Nov-Dec '04 bank statement and learned that 3 weeks prior there was a withdrawal of $199 taken out of my account. I immediately called my bank and told them that I had NEVER heard of this company, nor did I authorize a withdrawal. I was told to get a police report written and they would "look into" getting my money back in my account.

On the copy of the cashed check I saw that their was a toll free number of (877) 298-6342 and so I called the phone number. I was told by the oriental/asian lady who answered the phone that they were just a third party company who handled accounts for Moonlight Marketing. She told me that she would pull my file and have someone get back in touch with me. I still have not heard from anyone! It appeared that the bank who handles transactions for this Moonlight Marketing was The Bancorp Company out of Wilmington, DE.

The following day I went to our police department and had filed my report. The local police department is looking into this fraudulent (felony) matter.

I think once the company's representatives get caught, and they WILL, that each of us who have been affected by their rip-off should receive restituation for mental anguish!!! I am a single parent and this occured just before Christmas and put me in a crunch.
