Boehm-Ritter
AKA Nexiderm RIPOFF! Scammed out of over 100 bucks

I was doing one of those stupid complete-the-offers-and-get-a-prize things online and saw a cheap free 7 day trial for Nexiderm, a wrinkle cream manufactured by Boehm-Ritter. I signed up, and agreed that I had 7 days to cancel an automatic monthly subscription.

The 7th day fell on a Saturday, and I called the number to cancel. Surprise! The customer service line didn't work on weekends. The terms stated you must cancel by phone. So I sent them a fax stating my cancellation and reason for faxing rather than calling. I also included my contact info with instructions to contact me if there were any questions. I got no calls or emails stating they did not accept my cancellation. I was billed for the cream the same day I sent the fax. (So the billing department was open, but not customer service so I could cancel.)

The next month, I was billed for the stupid wrinkle cream and I sent it back. This month, I was again billed, plus an additional smaller charge for the "free trial" from back in October.

I don't even NEED wrinkle cream... Im 23! I am now out over 100 bucks. The people at Boehm-Ritter gave me the run-around and their supervisor (who seems to have two different names) never seemed to be in his office. I have disputed the charges with AmEx, but have heard nothing from them. If I don't hear anything from AmEx by the end of the month, I am reporting Boehm-Ritter to the better business bureau.
