Financing Alternatives
Mr. George Christian - ripoff The Lady Who Does The Financing Alternatives Commercials Violation of the Truth In Lending Act, violation of your constitutional rights, over pricing ripoff lowend computers

Education & Science

First, I must express my utter disgust at Financing Alternatives for stealing money from an elderly woman who is fighting for her health. You promised her a refund and she hasn't gotten one. You even went as far as to draft from her new account.

If I could find out who was responsible, I would storm to the Financing Alternatives Headquarters and beat the crap out of whoever keeps doing that to her. Shame on you George H. Christian, how can you run such a shrewd company. You know how hard it is to have bad credit huh? You know that companies took advantage of you when your younger. So you figure you'll do the same. F-CK you @$hole. Your company disgusts me, and all these complaints make it worse.

You or anyone else affiliated with the company avoids my accusations about the Experian Business Credit Report, the over priced computers, and the fact that you lock people into a verbal contract without letting them see the contract first before deciding. Now that I have the air clear on that, my next series of accusations.

This is in response to L and anyone else who has posted complaints about Financing Alternatives.

L, we must to tell you that this company will not give your money back. Your best bet is to dispute the debits with your bank. The reason they are stalling is because they have not had your computer made yet. They do not
have the money to do this, which is why they are stalling. I acted quick and got my money back from them by disputing with Wells Fargo. 500 dollars was taken from my account in 3 months time. The bank is Wells Fargo. They placed the entire $500 back in my account. Going through Financing Alternatives will not help you.

Now L, here is an idea. Look over all the posts about this company. Look for Joey's posts. He has defended this company to death.

Nevertheless, he has all of a sudden gotten quiet when someone mentioned that they pulled a business credit report from Experian. The credit report shows Financing Alternatives is a Woman's Apparel and Shoes outlet.
The chief Officer of the company is Mr. George H. Christian. The same person who is the Financing Alternatives CEO.

Kinda funny because, they took his picture off, and his entire name from the Financing Alternatives "http://www.pcs4all.com" website. So I
know that they are hiding something. They do not have the computer aspect of the business listed with the Credit Bureaus. This leads me to believe that Financing Alternatives is concealing this operation for either tax fraud/customer deceit purposes. Joey has not made any
explanation about it since, he will not even acknowledge it. So I know something smells fishy.

In addition, he will not answer our one question. Why does financing alternatives charge $2267.00 for a low-end laptop. For that particular laptop made by dell, it sells for under 800 dollars brand new, and I've seen several "like new" of the laptops for $500 dollars at computer seller websites. He avoids this question like the plague. We have asked him why it costs so much. He states that the financing is actually very reasonable.

That is not the case. For the actual laptop (30 GB HD, 256 MB Ram, 2.4 GHZ Celeron processor, which is one of the worst performing processors according to win benchmark tests and a CDRW drive), the price should
be about 1200 for a reasonable profit margin. If you figure 75 dollars for freight shipping or ground service, 800 dollars for the price of the laptop, interest for the loan WHICH IS NOT REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS IF YOU DO PAY ON TIME, and any testing or other labor requirements. The laptop should at most be around 1200 dollars.

Where are they getting a figure of 2267? Joey (a Financing Alternatives employee) avoids this like the plague. He cannot rationalize why they are charging that much for a low-end laptop. Someone also stated that possible customers consider, instead of signing up with financing alternatives, why not stuff the same amount
of cash in an envelope and save for six months. Then they can go to circuit city and buy a better laptop without interest, nothing but cold hard cash. However, Joey insists that the majority of customers are poor
credit and are low income. So if they can afford the weekly payments, then why can they not afford to stuff the money into an envelope and get a high-end computer from a neighborhood computer store?

Joey then stated that most customers who save the cash end up buying something else, thus, it defeats the purpose of saving cash in the first place.in Joey's own words, he is trying to brainwash the people by saying "if you save the cash instead of giving us your money, you won't have a computer." Well, if customers
end up buying something else, it means that they decided they did not need a computer after all.

The majority of people who signed up with Financing Alternatives realized this is a swindle at some point. The fishy points are as follows; Financing Alternatives forces you into a contract without letting you agree to look over the price of the computer. They lock you in with the verbal authorization which is recorded by the rep who takes your order. Then they send the contract materials. Once you read the exorbitant price for the computer, you call to cancel and them tell you that you cannot cancel, and you are entitled to no refund.in
other words, Financing Alternatives locks you in without AGREEING TO THE TERMS printed on the mailed contract.By law, they need to send you the contract first, so you
can read it over, and then decide if you want to sign up with them.

Financing Alternatives will not do it anyway else. If you go to the homepage of such said company, do the math for the payments on a computer. They debit 29.99 on up to 44.99 a week!

Here is the math on this laptop computer: $45.99 X 52 weeks for a grand total of 2391.48! On a side note, it is odd that on MY old contract computer it is exactly $2367.00.

Now on to the free software ($600) Value; Here are some of the titles: Britannica Ready Reference Encyclopedia DV Plus, Lotus SmartSuite 9.7, Nova Backup, Photo Explorer 8.0 SE, Photo Impact 8.0 SE, Print Shop
15, Quicken Personal Lawyer 2003 Quicken New User Edition, Rand McNally Trip Maker, Restore IT, Diskeeper Lite, Eudora Pro mailer, I Annotate IT, I Capture IT, iClean for Windows, I Organize IT, Music Match Jukebox 7.5, Open Office.org, Real One Player, Stuff IT Standard, World Tours Golf, Earth Link, I am In Touch.

For these software titles the following are found in the Bargain bins at CompUSA, Office Max, Best Buy, and Media Play: DV Plus, Nova Backup, Photo Explorer 8.0, Photo Impact, Quicken Personal Lawyer, Rand McNally Trip Maker, Diskeeper Lite, Eudora Pro Emailer, I Annotate IT, I Capture IT, I Clean For Windows; I Organize it, World Tours Golf, Stuff IT Standard, I'm In Touch.

Except for Encyclopedia Britannica, Quicken New User, Music Match Juke Box and Real One Player; these titles are 9.95 to 29.95 respectively. The other mentioned ones are anywhere's from 1.99 to 5.99! In all, I would
say the total software value is less than 100 dollars. They try to mislead you and suck you in with $600 in free software. Plus, the average consumer is not going to use nor needs half of this software.

On to the contract, which I have an actual copy of, I have furnished A copy to the FBI field office in Virginia that is heading the investigation into Financing Alternatives. We have to agree to binding
arbitration before a judge. Financing Alternatives won't allow us our constitutional right to a jury trial (If the disputed amount is over 20 dollars), this means they force us to binding arbitration because this
covers their behinds.in addition, they have a better chance of having less judgments rendered against them.in addition, the judgments would be less severe than if the dispute was held before a jury. You tell me based on what I have posted, if this company, Financing Alternatives is a shady operation and a fraud.

To summarize, Financing Alternatives locks you in with a verbal agreement, giving you no opportunity to read the contract they mail you over thoroughly. Financing Alternatives marks up their computers tremendously. Go to dell or gateway and do a price quote on a desktop
computer or laptop (like a 2.8 GHZ Pentium 4, which has a great Benchmark test result) and see how low the price is. Probably cheaper than financing alternatives. I guarantee you this: go and do a price quote on a computer similar to financing alternatives computers, if the price is more than financing alternatives, i will never say a peep more about financing alternatives. I will ban myself from this thread. YOU MUST FORWARD ME THE ADDRESS OF THE SUPPOSED SITE, AND IT MUST BE DELL
OR GATEWAY WITH A SIMILAR MODEL AND HARDWARE CONFIGURATION.

That is how confident I am that even with Joey stating that Financing Alternatives has reasonable financing (BULL!), Dell would be more expensive. What he doesn't realize is these payments are ONCE A MONTH, ARE REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS (Dell and Gateway help to build your credit), AND IS NOT AS MUCH OF A FINANCIAL STRAIN THAN USING YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT FOR DEBITS, because ACH Debit companies are notorious for causing overdraft fees, and remit on their word. They take
payments out early or take out too much.

Financing Alternatives does not properly disclose their Business practices with the credit bureaus. Listed under Woman's Apparel is certainly cause for scrutiny. It may not be illegal, probably a loop hole that MR GEORGE H. Christian ceo of this ladies apparel and shoe
company found. He hides behind his email, will not respond to anyone who emails him (unless the email is positive), and despite the negative publicity he has received, had his name and picture removed from the
main PCS4all.com website. He probably got death threats or hate mail.

I think we should all report them and have the FTC shut them down. This is cheesy, dishonest, illegal money making operation. No respectable firm is going to expect you to pay over 200 dollars a month for a low
end computer.

In my personal view, Financing Alternatives exists only to rip-off customers. The ball has been in joeys court for a few weeks now. Until he comes out of his hole and responds to these allegations, I and everyone else should assume that they are guilty and won't even attempt to make excuses. That is how bad the evidence is. If Joey is asking "What Evidence?" Here you go the math on the total payments, a price quote from dell, go to a local CompUSA or Best Buy and get quotes for the
supposed $600 free software, the extremely high price for a computer, the Experian Business Credit Report listing Financing Alternatives as a Woman's Apparel and shoe outlet. You tell me.

Do not beat around the bush. Do not make excuses. If you're going to respond Joey, or any other employee, respond to the straight and valid facts I have posted. Attempts to draw attention away from these valid
points will be viewed as nothing but excuses. The customers aren't the issue here, the "reasonable financing" isn't the issue here, the bad credit isn't the issue here, the "we all have to make profit here"
isn't the issue here. The issues here are clearly stated:

Over pricing, fraudulently listing business under a different category for creditors and customers to see, the constant evading customer complaints, the lack of value in the computers for the prices stated,
the software, the locking people with a verbal authorization without allowing them to first see the invoice and contract. Otherwise, the customer will not have a fair basis to make a clear and balanced decision. Remember, I am throwing another ball in your court. Do not walk away from this one. Please let us know about the allegations that I have made against you. If you do not, then everyone I have told, including myself in addition, the people on this thread can assume you are a fraud outlet. If you want to clear your name, we want some answers.

If Mr George H. Christian wants to come on here and make a rebuttal, we strongly invite him to. I or anyone else on here will not bash him personally, we will not do anything other than to discuss this topic in rebuttals, so we may all find the underlying cause of this. If he isn't man enough to do that, and Joey seems to have biased answers for everything, then Joey needs to be locked back in his cage.

Oh and Joey, if someone came up to me allowing me to finance a car with them, and I gave them one payment and ran off with the car, sure I would be out a car, but reporting it stolen is a good option! You only
do the final bill of sale when the last payment is received and then you give the title to the person.in your case, you can report the computer stealer to the credit bureaus, charge them criminally, ect. If
someone's credit is so bad that they cannot get a computer financed through dell, they need to buy as cheap of a system as possible, and save $1,000 by not going through you, and use the money they save to
pay off bills. That way they can improve their credit. Financing Alternatives do nothing to help your credit. They only take your money and leave you with a low end computer you could have gotten somewhere else for HALF THE PRICE. Only difference is, your out several hundred dollars.

Thank you for any rebuttals to prove me wrong. Please prove me wrong. Any excuses not pertaining to the CLEAR and VALID points I have made will be ignored.
