Complete scam! Fraud at it's worst! Beware! Rip-off!

I fell for it too, and that was just the begining. They assured me that what they were doing was co-signing for a credit card for me, and that the fee for them to do so was 299.95.initially I agreed to it, then the next day a friend told me it sounded fishy to him-so I called to cancel the transaction. Now the customer service people-which are actually not the same people-but a customer service firm hired to do customer service for theives like People's Rebate-say they have no record of any call coming in from me. They have no physical address for People's Rebate, and no phone number.

The monster that called from People's Rebate assured me that I would be receiving a credit card-and I even asked her directly-this is an actual credit card-not just some benefit thing correct? She said yes -you will receive your actual credit card in ten to fifteen days with a 2500 credit limit-and I asked her again-I will receive the actual credit card? Yes. She said they were not a bank, but had an arangement with VISA and MASTERCARD where they cosigned for the loan, and as soon as I made payment, the credit card company would be notified and that my actual card would be sent immediately, and that once it got here all I had to do was call and activate it.

Then the customer service people told me that I would not receive an actual card-rather an application for one. I couldn't believe it-and what's worse is that they're preying on people who already have credit problems and obviously can't afford to throw money away. I don't know how these people sleep at night. If you're reading this after you've already been screwed by them-I'm sorry-if not-DON'T TRUST PEOPLE'S REBATE-THEY ARE FULL OF IT!
