Ripoff fraudulent billing for pay per view website

Education & Science

I received a bill from my phone company, SBC, for 4 long distance calls to the UK totalling around $93.00. I thought this was really strange since I'd just cancelled my land line and switched to a cable modem & cell phones for communication. Plus, this was my "very last bill" from SBC! Why was it for so much!!!

I called SBC, and they put the amount for these calls ($93.67) in dispute for 90 days. Then, I called the 2 companies who charged me for these calls, One Call Comm (1-800-472-8889) and Tellis/USBI (1-888-472-8724). The total amount for the calls was credited! Then I called SBC and confirmed that the amount was credited and all was well.

BUT, I received a separate bill for $185 in the mail from PREMIER PREMIUM for a "previous balance" of $155 and $30 of "current charges". What are these charges for? The calls were made while I'm getting my kids ready for school and I've never, EVER, been notified of any "pay per view website"!!

I tried contacting Premier Premium and the line was busy for 10 minutes. When the call finally went through, I waited on the line for 5 minutes. Then, I was hung up on!

I'm contacting the BBB, my local newspaper/TV network, and my congressman! This is REDICULOUS!!!
