In purchasing many products over the internet for the 2001 holidays, I was excited to find my desired gift (product) and reasonable pricing available at the website: www.cambridgeworld.com

However, after placing my order a month in advance to ensure
delivery of product as a gift for a family member, I was disappointed to come with empty arms. All of my other products
were received in time, except the ordered Besler Enlarger priced
at about $180 (shipping included). I attempted emailing and phoning customer service, many times, only to be "told" to hold or that they would call back with information. I was never contacted by a company representative, only to be given excuse
after excuse about my order.

Mr Thomas indicated that he was the customer service manager and that he had made a "boo-boo" in regards to my order and that shipment from the distributor was expected in a week.
Mr Thomas asked for me to follow up in 10 days, to inquire about the shipment. I asked if any other products were available for purchase under $500. He indicated no products to be available under $1000 at the current time, nothing was in stock. The company website is very misleading about products for purchase, if there is no stock available for purchase.

Consider twice before purchasing from this site. At the website, company information is very limited, only stating being in business for 60 years, providing no company background, principals, nothing.

Calling the toll free number, will result in providing the local New York number for customer service, which will result in holding for some time, busy signals or hearing excuses from Mr Thomas. These are other unexpected charges that may impact you.

Lastly, I requested to cancel my order and Mr Thomas stated that cancelling the order will result in my shipment being taken off the mailing list. I told him that was fine, to please take my name off the list.in protecting possible order charges to my credit card account. I am providing detailed information from Rip-0ff Report from another unsatisfied customer. This was the first time ever seeing this site, wish that I had only found it a long time ago.
