They are a ripoff and need to be sued!

I placed my order with Furniture USA on February 18. I was told that I had to pay a deposit for them to place the order and the remainder when I received my furniture. I paid over the phone via debit card a total of $237.00 and was told I would receive my furniture is 8-12 weeks which would have been mid to late May. I thought everything would be ok since they had been in business since 1998 and they even sent me a receipt in the mail 2 days following the transaction. I was wrong.

The first week in May I received an email stating there was a delay and the furniture would not arrive until mid-late June. I called and spoke with them and they said there was a problem with the manufacturer receiving too many orders. I thought that sounded reasonable and wasn't worried at all.

Well, then when June arrived I received another "bi-weekly" update stating that it was being delayed again and would not arrive until July. This was simply too long to wait for furniture so I called and cancelled my order the second week in June. That was the last time I ever actually spoke with an actual person. She told me that my refund would be processed and I should receive it within 7-10 business days. Of course I never received it and called several times and left over 40 voicemails inquiring about my refund.

Finally in the middle of July I finally accepted the fact that I was being ripped off and went to my bank to see if they could help me file a dispute. Well, they told me that since it was over 60 days there was nothing they could do for me. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I know that $237.00 might not sound like all that much especially compared to reading some of the other complaints but it is the principal of the matter, all the wasted time waiting for furniture that was never even actually ordered and the money combined that really upsets me and I don't think they should be allowed to get away with this. I would be very interested in taking part in a lawsuit to make sure that justice is served and they don't get away with this, at least not more than they already have.
