Faulty product and no customer loyalty

I received this Keurig B70 as a gift for my birthday. I thought I was in heaven. Used this machine a ton!!! It was perfect. I followed all directions and de-scaled regularly and used only bottled water. But just after my 1 year warranty ran out it just stopped working. I couldn't get a full cup of coffee no matter what I tried. Then it stopped giving me the option of what cup size. No matter what I tried I could not get a cup of coffee in any size.
I called customer service and was told that I was a few months out of warranty. Didn't matter that I had my Keurig stored for a few months because of the hot summer. Those months where the unit was stored was the exact amount of time my unit was out of warranty.
I couldn't even take the unit anywhere to be serviced for me to pay for. This was NOT an option. The customer service was not helpful. They wanted me to purchase another unit. This is a KNOWN product when you do a search for issues. Very unhappy!
